Problem

We have had some NukePress customers who have seen the following error when installing the module:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Entities.Content.ContentItem' from assembly 'DotNetNuke, Version=5.1.1.98, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

When investigating the issue, we realized that this was not an issue with NukePress, but actually an issue with a specific version of DotNetNuke.  DotNetNuke 5.1.x is known for having several critical bugs in it.   This error occurs not only with NukePress, but with other modules as well.

Solution

The answer is relatively easy: upgrade DNN!

Any version from 5.5.1 or greater will do.  You can follow these instructions to upgrade DotNetNuke.
